Emily & Ron : This Wedding Story begins in Chapel Hill, NC

As photographers, we love when the unexpected happens and it plays in our favor. On Emily & Ron’s wedding day, there just never seemed to not be a smile, a cry, a laugh, or a memorable moment. Mother nature helped as well as the rains stopped before the ceremony, the skies opened up, and then we ended the afternoon photo session with fog, THEN deer, AND THEN an EPIC SUNSET! We can’t make this up!

Beginning the day at the hotel, Emily & Ron prepped quickly for a drive across town to the Chapel Hill Wedding Barn. This was the first time Beth and I had seen the venue and it did not disappoint! The barn is gorgeous, and had great lighting and scenery all around. After the ceremony, we took some family formals and quick portraits and then drove to the Chapel Hill Country Club for an extended couples portrait session. Having this much time to explore and capture some epic portraits was something we do not get to do often, so we took full advantage!

After an amazing time of the 4 of us hijacking the wedding day for some alone time, we partied hard for a couple of hours. After dancing, celebratory cigars, and amazing cake, we ended the night with a sparkler exit. I don’t think Emily & Ron ever wanted the night to end, and we didn’t either… but all good things must come to an end thanks to noise ordinances and our bodies needing some rest!
