Stunning Sunset Engagement Session at the Emerald Isle Point | Sam & Max

The point will always be special to Beth and me. After all, It is where she and I said our own vows and “I do’s” back on November 17th, 2018. It is such a unique beach landscape where water wraps around the island of Emerald Isle. Large sand dunes like small mountains, wide flat beaches, and a perfect view of the sunset all add to the specialness of this beautiful place.

Whenever a couple is up for an adventure beach session, this is our first suggestion of a location. Sam & Max live in Raleigh, NC, and their wedding was going to be downtown with a city vibe, but they wanted something a little different for their engagement photos. We settled on taking the drive and long walk down to the Point for a stunning sunset engagement session.

We couldn’t have picked a more perfect day as the weather was a warm, yet perfect temperature. The skies were kind in giving us some really cool cloud cover which always produces a beautiful soft light and epic colors as the sun sets.

Sam & Max were also super easy to work with as they trusted us to guide them through the session to produce these epic engagement photos. They didn’t let COVID stop them from enjoying their session and showing off their love and personality in these images. We photographed their wedding just a couple of months back at Market Hall in Raleigh during this pandemic and we can’t wait to share those images as well!
