Erin & Eric at the Watson House and Gardens in Emerald Isle, NC
Being a North Carolina Wedding Photographer is one of the best “jobs” in this amazing state. North Carolina has it all! From the Great Smoky Mountains to the sandy, salty beaches on the East Coast. This state is essentially a giant playground of opportunities for North Carolina Wedding Photographers like us. We got to spend our time and share some invaluable moments with Erin & Eric at The Watson House in Emerald Isle, NC. From pool frisbee to fabulous flowers, Erin & Eric had what can only be described as a sensational wedding day with friends and family!
Bride-ing (adj. The act of being a bride) - is a seriously strenuous task! We always love when our brides just relax, sit back, and enjoy one of the most monumental days of their life thus far. That’s exactly what Erin did! She started the day with a beautifully delicious brunch by The Watson House followed by mimosas, laughs, and emotional moments. Erin got ready in the upstairs rooms with some of the best views of the Intercostal Waterway. Of course we had to incorporate the view in a few of our story telling, prep images! Eric took the not-so-relaxing route, inviting his groomsmen to enjoy some fun in the sun! Ultimate frisbee is a one of Eric’s hobbies, AND is the true beginning of this love story between Eric and Erin, as ultimate frisbee was how the two met! Therefore, it was only fitting that Eric take part in some frisbee action that morning. When things got hot (as it often does in NC’s summers) the frisbee frenzy moved to the pool!
The day was stunning with incredible colors, flowers, details, and people. Erin & Eric had some of the warmest most wholesome family. To us, this is the most important detail of a wedding day. Flowers are beautiful, tablescapes add to the occasion, but the love that goes into a wedding is shared by people. I was always taught that “actions speak louder than words”. Let me just say the actions of love and adoration shared by Erin & Eric’s family and friends were unending. True friendship and care for one another radiated throughout the entire day. This. This is what wedding dreams are made of. This type of family is why we do what we do. This wedding is one of many examples of why we do what we do. This family set the bar for family values. As Chad and I left, we couldn’t help but feel excited. Feel happy. Feel as though what we captured and documented on this day was some kind of special!
Erin & Eric, Thanks for your invincible trust in us! We cherished every minute of this with you.
